The 28th Annual San Diego Heart Failure Symposium provides an excellent opportunity to learn about best practices and new advances in the management of heart failure from a faculty that includes world renowned experts in the field. As the meeting will be presented in a Hybrid format, registrants will be able to attend the meetings and discussions as they occur and to access them online for several additional weeks. As in the past, we offer a series of didactic lectures and panel discussions that will include opportunities for audience participation in the Q and A sessions, Several Product Theater presentations are included and will allow for more in-depth discussion of specific approaches to treatment. The talks included in the Symposium cover a broad array of relevant topics ranging from management of risk factors, treatment of patients during and following a heart failure hospitalization, overview of new drugs, role of devices, update on COVID-19 effects on the heart, treatment of arrhythmias, importance of recognizing and treating coronary artery disease in patients with heart failure and disparities in health care. This year, the 8th Annual Stanley Lloyd M.D. lecture will be presented by Dr. Cheryl Anderson, Dean of the new UCSD School of Public Health.
